How gorgeous, I love it, ummmm 12 December 2013 21:25

Last year I wanted to make a panettone, a sweet bread typical of this time and of Italian origin, but in the end I decided. This year I wanted to do it. I document, I looked at the net let's see what was, and uff ... lots of recipes, some more complicated than others, with bakery, not by far the exception, with many or few eggs ... was not sure of the amounts that would leave me,'m not finished deciding. In fact a panettone is a sweet bread, though I was clearly ... Then I thought "I already do a sweet bread with chocolate leaves me very well, is a fabulous recipe that never fails ... I could make a few modifications to make panettone my way ... and now you presents the results. I did two (this recipe because I know and I know exactly how much I miss and I head to the bakery for good knead it, so I had no handicap). A with dried fruit and and the other with chocolate raisins and nuts ..
The other problem was found Mould. I had already decided that if it was not would molds lined with baking paper to make them higher (panettone molds I bought are 13.5 cm wide by 10 cm), or (that I saw in the book "Elaboración artisanal bread") with clay pots (yes, yes ... that is very well cooked bread, all kinds, to the turrets, but I still do not have tested).
In the end it took and ran smoothly Yard (although I told Eli that it was not more) to the store "sugar cake" In fact, had not ate for Commercial'm not just to please, but these are delicisos, and do not say because I've done! INGREDIENTS 250 grams of milk 2 large eggs 60 grams integers. 60 grams of sugar. butter at room temperature 10 grams. wren salt 1 vanilla sugar over the ralladura of an orange 500 grams. of bread flour 15 g fresh yeast 125 g chocolate picadeta wren how I got there (or chocolate wren chips) wren and 50 new (for the bread) 175 grams. dried fruit and raisins (for the other bread) 1 egg coloring / glassejar breads and a bit of butter to put on top. Preparation machine knead bakery or 1-Click bakery wren dough to incorporate the ingredients in the same order they are written, and a program and knead yeast. 2-Remove the dough from the machine, marble and shake hands with a little flour, then both sides of the dough: mix is a dried fruit ial other chocolate and nuts. Form two round loaves and place in the mold of panettone.
Let take away one or two and a half hours in a warm place (oven very well off). After this time, the paint with egg, make two cuts in a cross and you put a teaspoon wren of butter in the center of the cut.
Put them in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes. If roasted too much about the need to cover with foil. Let them cool on a grid (the furnace was fine) and sprinkle with powdered sugar. If you do not have to hand or bakery wren machine knead, you mix the crumbled yeast and flour with your hands and add milk, sugar, salt, vanilla and orange ralladura finally the eggs and butter. Knead dough until it is smooth. Make a ball with the dough and leave it in warm place for 1 hour, covered with a damp cloth. Continue recipe from point 2.
Anna, seems a real turret, before and after flowering A good suggestion for these last days too. Greetings to OLVAN and for you and your family a hug 12 December 2013 19:51

Poor houses (made of highly flammable materials) were forbidden to fire flame to avoid fire and had

Poor houses (made of highly flammable materials) were forbidden to fire flame to avoid fire and had to cook with small braziers that could be portable or buy termopolia at every meal. In poor households, the kitchen was a viable e improvised corner of the yard or even from the cabin or apartment. Those who could not have a furnace used a kind of ceramic bells placed on the fire.
In domus, small kitchens were a lesser evil, the more sordid place in the house and so were bora latrines, balnea area (also exploits the well water and heat) grouped with other cellae free kitchen design software of servile (stables, bakeries, free kitchen design software wine cellar, pantry) the distant room, but the water never reaches the same kitchen. This seems that we would understand the phrase derogatory Cicero: your philosophy in the kitchen (Att. 15,18,1).
Roman culture frills e wit was not spared of the inconvenience posed odors, smoke, grease and commotion in the kitchen. We get expressions like fire or smell of dark grimy kitchen.
Remotely kitchen was in the atrium and as I said near the latrine and balnea, was already a well service area in the domus larger eddies around the atrium or peristyle free kitchen design software secondary. Lucilius and Varro insist on placing them behind the house. In fact, if the food was not cooled thanks to the portable stove
In the first century in affluent homes the kitchen is installed within a block or clay brick refractory to maintain free kitchen design software a zone of coals. Here on the ashes allowed to cook on the grill. The furnaces were next to these old stoves.
High ceilings in the kitchens free kitchen design software of the villas lae were a precaution the fire is obvious that the problem be the lack of chimneys in these cases have tiles horse to drive or to smoke outside the window . In fact Archaeology that defines free kitchen design software us as they were physically kitchens, vaulted space under the kitchen free kitchen design software where they keep utensils and firewood, sometimes free kitchen design software together and find a place to wash dishes and a table to work.
Despite what sources say were found in the kitchens blackened murals genes. Then it was thought that the kitchen did not work but on fire flame embers from the bonfires lit in the courtyards. Thus neither the kitchens were so stifling.
Furthermore we discuss how it was consecrated by the kitchen fire as fire protective home. The fire blackened so annoying free kitchen design software and also warms, comforts and protects the home and its people. Is positive and is linked to the gods of the household. In fact when the bride comes first in your new home, that of her husband is given the fire and water of the house as a sign that will be the new master.
The gods punished defend free kitchen design software the survival free kitchen design software of the family and to live it in the kitchen and pantry. Cooking is an act of gratitude to the beneficent deities of the family being related and smoke, free kitchen design software household sacrifice, free kitchen design software ritual and punished. The following takes place in a kitchen but it seems quite a sacrifice, a ritual;
"There, free kitchen design software the smoke of the kitchen, he observed, like a augur feathers that came from their prisoners, and recognized by the smoke away from your home, leaving fumerola the roof of his father"
The smoke is associated with the symbolism of the return, the signal that tells us the satisfaction of divinity or indignation toward the offerings presented. Smoke and fog are also part of the ultra world, ghosts, dead spirits. The sign of his return, the vehicle of your presence.
Protection, danger and chaos are concentrated in the kitchen, the smoke can lead foreboding, but can be devastating fire protection convicts ensures continuity in domestic security, free kitchen design software as long as you do not misuse fire kitchen.
The culinary is also an economic space, apart from religious since time immemorial in the atrium when all activities are performed in the house. When the kitchen is becoming a servile, it becomes a space of "quarantine" for workers free kitchen design software and slaves. Dominates as the lady of the house, as manager of the domestic unit family should know it and have to move, but the same will happen to the dominus guarantor of good practices, religion and family well-being ( remember also includes freedmen and slaves). Lars and convicts are the protectors of springs that everyday, free kitchen design software everything that happens in a house, the prayers at the altar of cooking, visits to the latrine, the picnic

And then they mix the sifted flour and the impeller, and beat again. Finally, add the goat cheese at room temperature to make it easier to mix. And stir well until the mixture homogeneous. It sets the mass (thick and quite dense) into a pastry bag and fill the molds of paper. Bake 5-10 minutes until they are cooked (toothpick should come out clean). I recognize that long ago had hoped that all this movement of self-assertion that, in a majority Catalonia ago, reaching its climax with the final realization of the question and fix the date of the consultation would move Spain to positions of dialogue, exploring a midpoint in a negotiation which 'agree, neither you nor me! " And yes, most of Catalonia moves the right to decide by road to independence, and yes, Spain is moving, but not to where I wanted, but precisely the opposite direction! The more moves Catalonia mostly towards independence, more moves Spain mainly towards centralism. Some say that the double question, the possibility to answer "Yes" & "No" to the question, opens the door to explore ways third, but the perception is that neither a (independence) or other (centralist, or unionist, if you want to) seem to have much interest in exploring avenues such third ... The federal solution seems interested only in PSC and PSOE, but none have today enough political clout in Catalonia or Spain. Since the restoration of democracy kitchen storage cabinets a "spring" game has been given to the relationship between Catalonia and Spain, sometimes closer, sometimes more distance, but always understood. Until the judgment of the Statute kitchen storage cabinets of Catalonia! Now more than ever it seems that the "spring" has occurred and that it gives more of himself! It's the game of centrifugal and centripetal forces in Spain! We'll see what ends quite impressive!

Now that the holidays are approaching we are starting to get inquiries about Christmas and everything kitchen storage about food. One particularly struck us as it usually escapes us ask the question of weight. That on the other hand is available in a post made last week here.
Meals: Everyone knows that meals that are made these days are more abundant, more caloric load more greasy and with a variety of foods. Factors, all of which can affect our digestive health or, at least, our digestive strength. We illustrate kitchen storage this: Incoming: appetizers of canapés (greased with butter or margarine, mayonnaise, kitchen storage sauce, pies ... and stuffed egg, chorizo, smoked salmon, seafood pasta ...). tray of ham, assorted kitchen storage cheeses, assorted pates. Prawns cooked with sauce, cockles, mussels ... and because children can eat well, potato chip, fried or salted nuts, various snacks ... Starters: Soup Christmas cookies and stews Second course: Capon stuffed with prunes, nuts and sausage. Roast with potatoes, roasted in the oven too. All bathed in sauce that creates fat recipe that follows was cuianant while since it has been greased kitchen storage with butter, usually presented in a gravy boat. Accessories and beverage bread. Wine. Cava. Sugary soft drinks (like cola). Possibly beers. And water. Dessert: lemon sorbet kitchen storage (to download) To finish nougat, wafers, marzipan, Polvorones ... I can not miss: coffee, drinks ...
One way to alleviate this meal so typical mass without changing its essence would, for example, limiting the incoming sauces. Interspersed in the appetizers, fruit preparations (for example, fruit skewers, skewer cheese with kiwi fruit and seafood tartare ...). As snak, make vegetable chips (potato, turnip, beet), also incorporated in the vegetable canapés. For example, to roasted vegetables, asparagus ...
In the second course, we can release the load of greasy butter dish dispensing often used for this type of dish. Use a watering roast vegetable broth. Add to recipe herbs (thyme, rosemary ...) will help to make it digestive. As we seek a dipping sauce recipe with vegetable base.
Fat is the nutrient that needs more time to digest. It is for this reason that meals such as Christmas tend to be "heavy" because our body has to spend a lot of time to digest it. Reduce fat menu also reduces the time and improve digestion quite bad sensations that can occur.
The dinner: One of the biggest enemies of digestion is immobility. If a meal routine employ 40 minutes at most, a Christmas lunch can last until snack time and, in some cases, for dinner. This means, at least, 4, 5 or 6 hours sitting, almost without moving and having ingested a significant amount of food, as mentioned in the previous point, kitchen storage costing digest.
Try not to extend many hours of inactivity. Seek alternatives to continue being a family. Out, visit the exhibition of nativity scenes around the city or town (if we are not in our population can be used to make a visit contemplating the Christmas lights) ...
Stress: During the holidays there is some level of stress. Especially if you hit an army to do lunch! In addition to the typical shopping when we come kings, if we have children at home who are more excited (normal) to meet the family ... these situations also influence kitchen storage on digestion.
Learn to relax, relativize situations and have little help, for example, herbal medicine, greatly improve our digestive health. I also ask for! Ask the family involved in the preparations.

EXCLUSIVE : ABC ‘s flagship comedy Modern Family , which is coming off a fourth consecutive best series Emmy win, may be getting a spinoff. I’ve learned that the network and producer kitchen 24 20th Century Fox TV have met to discuss potentially spinning off the hit comedy. Details are sketchy as conversations are in very early stages with multiples ideas discussed, but I hear one offshoot concept that is being explored is for a show built around standout Modern kitchen 24 Family guest player Rob Riggle and the character he played in two episodes last season. The idea is being spearheaded by Modern Family executive producers Paul Corrigan kitchen 24 and Brad Walsh who would run point and write the script. kitchen 24 ( Modern Family co-creator/executive producer Steve Levitan kitchen 24 would likely have some involvement, while fellow co-creator/exec producer Christopher Lloyd is expected to remain kitchen 24 solely focused kitchen 24 on the flagship series, now in its fifth season.) Riggle’s Gil Thorpe is Southern California’s most successful real estate agent and rival of Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) who briefly employed Phil’s kitchen 24 wife Claire (Julie Bowen). Thorpe is abrasive and has a penchant for inserting his name in words, like “Thorpedoed” and “Gil Pickles.” Corrigan and Walsh, who became a writing team when they met in NYU s film school, kitchen 24 have been on Modern Family since after the pilot. They wrote one of Riggle’s two Modern Family episodes, “Career Day” (check out the video below).
OMG! Gross! If they move forward with this, ABC would have entered CBS territory (not a good think in my book since they have some of the most offensive, sexist and crass comedies on television). Comment by Babygate — Friday September 27, 2013 @ 5:44pm PDT   Reply to this post
To be fair, ABC is not exactly known for being spin-off happy. ONCE UPON is their first high profile spin-off in awhile and it would make sense to try to tap into MODERN given that the rest of their comedy slate isn’t exactly setting the ratings on fire. Spin-offs are hardly a safe bet, especially kitchen 24 in sit-com land (JOEY, anyone). Frankly, I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner…back when MODERN deserved to win a Best Comedy Emmy. As for CBS, a network that exists because of it’s cookie cutter mentality and a mass audience that eats up procedural cookies, I think you are also missing kitchen 24 the target on your critique. There are as many offensive, crass and sexist kitchen 24 comedies on other networks (especially in basic cable) as there are on CBS, it’s just that the ones in Moonves Land attract considerably more eyeballs. I’m not a fan of CBS but clearly they are delivering a product that people want and doing a better job of leading their horses to water than the competition. kitchen 24 Comment by Ron Hebshie — Saturday September 28, 2013 @ 12:09am PDT   Reply to this post
Can’t exactly compare network tv with cable. Cable functions in a riskier, less contained universe and the standards are much loser. I do find a lot of the programming to be rather, problematic for my taste. kitchen 24 But I expect that from cable. Not so much from network tv. And the fact that shows like 2.5 Men and 2 Broke Girls have a rather large (or did in the past) audience is even more troubling than the fact that CBS actually puts this garbage out. What replaced the missing Native American genes in island populations? The answer reflects the conqu

There are plenty of ways to study history. You can conduct archaeological digs, examining the artifacts and structures buried under the ground to learn about past lifestyles. You can read historical texts, perusing the written record to better understand events that occurred long ago.
But an international group of medical researchers led by Andrés stainless steel backsplash Moreno-Estrada and Carlos Bustamante of Stanford and Eden Martin of the University stainless steel backsplash of Miami are looking stainless steel backsplash instead at a decidedly unconventional historical record: human DNA.
Hidden in the microscopic genetic stainless steel backsplash material of people from the Caribbean, they’ve found, is an indelible record of human history, stretching back centuries to the arrival of Europeans, the decimation of Native American populations and the trans-Atlantic slave trade. By analyzing these genetic samples and comparing them to the genes of people around the world, they’re able to pinpoint not only the geographic origin of various populations but even the timing of when great migrations occurred.
As part of a new project, documented in a study published yesterday in PLOS Genetics , the researchers sampled and studied the DNA of 251 people living in Florida who had ancestry from one of six countries and islands that border the Caribbean Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Honduras and Colombia along with 79 residents of Venezuela who belong to one of three Native American groups (the Yukpa , Warao and Bari tribes). Each study participant was part of a triad that included two parents and one of their children who were also surveyed, so the researchers could track which particular genetic markers were passed on from which parents.
The researchers sequenced the DNA of these participants, analyzing their entire genomes in search of particular genetic sequences called single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) that often differ between unrelated individuals and are passed down from parent to child. To provide context for the SNPs they found in people from these groups and areas, they compared them to existing databases of sequenced DNA from thousands of people globally, such as data from the HapMap Project. stainless steel backsplash
Tracing a person’s DNA to a geographical stainless steel backsplash area is relatively straightforward it’s stainless steel backsplash well-established that particular SNPs tend to occur in different frequencies in people with different ancestries. As a result, sequencing the DNA of someone living stainless steel backsplash in Florida whose family came from Haiti can reveal what proportion of his or her ancestors stainless steel backsplash originally came from Africa and even where in Africa those people lived.
But one of the most amazing things about the state of modern genetics is that it also allows scientists to draw chronological conclusions about human migration, because blocks of these SNPs shorten over time at a generally consistent rate. ”You can essentially break the genome up into European chunks, Native American chunks stainless steel backsplash and African chunks,” Martin says. “If stainless steel backsplash each of these regions are longer, it suggests they arrived in the gene pool more recently, because time tends to break up the genome. stainless steel backsplash If these chunks are shorter, it suggests there’s been a lot of recombination and mixing up of the genome, which suggests the events were longer ago.”
Modeling their DNA data with these assumptions built in, the researchers created a portrait of Caribbean migration and population change that stretches back to before the arrival of Columbus. One of their most interesting findings was just how few Native Americans survived the arrival of Europeans, based on the DNA data. “There was an initial Native American genetic component on the islands,” Martin says, “but after colonization by the Europeans, they were almost decimated.”
This decimation was the result of European attacks and enslavement stainless steel backsplash , as well as the disease and starvation that came in their wake. The DNA analysis showed that the native population collapse of Caribbean islands happened almost stainless steel backsplash immediately after the arrival of Columbus, within one generation stainless steel backsplash of his first visits and the appearance of other Europeans. The gene pool on the mainland, by contrast, shows a more significant Native American influence, indicating that they didn’t die off at the same rates.
What replaced the missing Native American genes in island populations? The answer reflects the conquering Europeans’ solution to diminishing populations available for labor: slaves kidnapped and imported from Africa. The DNA analysis showed a heavy influence from characteristically African SNPs, but notably, it revealed two separate phases in the trans-Atlantic slave trade. “There were two distinct pulses of African immigration,” Martin says. “The first pulse came from one part of West Africa the Senegal region and the second, larger pulse came from another part of it, near the Congo.”
This corresponds to written records and other

Although edith kitchen most forms of slavery are illegal the report commented that the laws are rarely enforced. The prevalence of slavery is linked to other factors, according to the report. For example, there is a high correlation between slavery and corruption. Lower levels edith kitchen of human development and economic well-being are other related issues.
For some time the Vatican has been engaged edith kitchen on the subject of slavery edith kitchen and human trafficking. edith kitchen The latest example of this was at the beginning of November edith kitchen when the Pontifical Academy of Social edith kitchen Sciences, together with the World Federation of Catholic Medical Associations, held what was termed a “preparatory workshop” on the issue.
“Any relationship that fails to respect the fundamental conviction that all people -- men, women, girls and boys -- are equal and have the same freedom and dignity constitutes a grave crime against humanity,” said the concluding statement from the Nov. 2-3 meeting.
Pope Francis touched on the issue of slavery in the just-published apostolic exhortation, The Joy of the Gospel. “I have always been distressed at the lot of those who are victims of various kinds of human trafficking. How I wish that all of us would hear God’s cry: ‘Where is your brother?’ (Gen 4:9),” he wrote (Par. 211)
He went on to ask: “Where is your brother or sister who is enslaved? Where is the brother and sister whom you are killing each day in clandestine warehouses, in rings of prostitution, in children used for begging, in exploiting undocumented labor.”
