Drew Tap Tap party | IFLA Sister Libraries
The children at the After School Center Drew worked for 2 months to create the Haitian Tap Tap Bus. It Was Their Contribution to the summer reading club festivities at the Shirlington Branch Public Library of Arlington, kitchen renovation ideas Arlington, Virginia. The Students Took photographs of themselves and glued Them in the bus windows, and the final creation Was Bright, colorful kitchen renovation ideas and the wonderful addition to the children's room. As part of the celebration, the children's librarian at Shirlington Told Haitian folktale, the evangelist Dances the Kokioko and shared peaked Jacks! Crack! Jokes with the children. Appropriatetly themed "Caribbean snacks" Were Served (plantain chips, mango juice, and fruit sorbets served in the actual rind!) The Drew Students Were THEN Given the opportunity to make gifts for the Children of Our sister library in Petit-Goave as they're decorated t-shirts. The t-shirts Will be mailed to Haiti later in the summer.
