On my last visit here, I was overwhelmed by the sommelier Joseph de Blasi, who really took hold to let me taste a large number of natural wines. He was not here today, but I found it a very good claret, 2005 Baccabianca Tenuta Grillo east of Piedmont. 100% Cortese grapes with 30-40 days on the skins. Steel and large oak barrels in production. Orange with no particles. It is unfiltered. Fruity against acidic apricot, good mouth with some tannins, balanced and long. Delicious dry finish.
Jacobs is a busy place. It was living full, so I got the high round at the bar. Good table with a good view. The menu is simple, three starters, shenandoah cabinets three main courses (mackerel, roast beef and svinekjake, whales) and three desserts. For me the choice was easy with steamed mussels first and mackerel afterwards.
The main course shenandoah cabinets was a study in wild disorder, elegant shenandoah cabinets anyway. Fried mackerel with egg and new potatoes salad, turnip, radish, herring roe and dill cream. It was served warm, as the picture shows. One of the tastier the pictures I've got. Gorgeous. shenandoah cabinets Also here suitable Baccabianca very well.
Last visit gave the stamp of a little rocking place. Rock was now gone and replaced with the bustle, straight music and still very good food. Still a place I will return to, but I miss the little rock in food and music.
